It seems to me that viewing poverty strictly as an economics problem is guaranteed to fail.

Not only is it necessary to recognize the systemic flaws that reinforce the existing "patriarchy of capital" (e.g. World Bank, IMF), but we also need to address the social structures that have emerged as a result of the policies of those groups.

I just saw Shiva in the movie "the corporation" last night. Amazing woman. I will keep my eye out for the other movie.

'The Corporation' is great. Actually, I think I'd like to see it again sometime.
