...I think summer kind of is a scam...along with Christmas, New Year's Eve, and Valentine's Day. So many people have been expressing to me that they feel a let down with summer or concerned that it is almost over.
It comes, it goes; it never lives up to it's promises.
Certainly, it doesn't help that Halloween candy has already hit the stores...or as a good-humored store clerk called it (indicating quote/unquote with her fingers) "back-to-school" candy...apparently, her manager inisists she refers to it as such for another three weeks!
Anyway, while I have not had the magical summer we all dream of, I have been happy to have some relaxing days and to spend time with family and friends. It has also been nice to do some reading while not "under the gun" and to get around to various tasks...including finally adding some content to my personal MySpace account. So, MySpace users, feel free to add me. I'm also playing around a lot on Pandora these days. I will hopefully update the blog with my Pandora favourites if TypePad ever decides to cooperate.
Well, that's all for now. Tomorrow is the finale of So You Think You Can Dance? Go, Benji, go!
Hey, Polly. I haven't been here in a while. Thought I would check in on you.
Many things have a way of not living up to our expectations, the script. It takes real discipline to avoid having those expectations and live in the moment. I'm not really there with that effort though.
I am glad to see you posting.

What were your expectations?

Hi, Lily. It's nice to hear from you. I like the new website and its great to see a few names I recognize on there.
I actually didn't have high expectations for this summer. Before it's over, I hope to maybe do a couple day trips, go hiking , and maybe camp for a night. I am actually really just enjoying the moments as simple as they may be. I was very ill last summer, so just being well feels amazing to me.
