I was surfing around the net tonight to see if I could find anything entertaining. I came across a post on Boing Boing featuring Rick Mercer's Talking to Americans. I was surprised that so many Americans had never seen the show before!
I have seen most of the program, as I am sure many of my fellow Canadians have. But, man it was funny to watch again.
The first part, as available on YouTube, shows Americans congratulating Canada for becoming part of North America, endorsing the bombing of Saskatchewan, and agreeing to petition the Canadian government to stop the practice of abandoning senior citizens on Northern ice floes!

There's an Australian show that does the exact same thing. The people Mercer ends up showing on his program are the exact same types who support evangelical politics here in the states. I hold them partially responsible for putting the current administration in power. They're brainless idiots who'd endorse a piece of toast if they thought it was 'Christian' enough.

Um, yeah, I'm sure all the people he spoke to at Harvard, Columbia and NYU (along with all the the participants in San Francisco and Miami Beach) are "evangelicals."
It's a JOKE--just relax.
