Oh, how I would like to lament along with the rest of the blogosphere that Warren "I wish I was a punk rock rage-against-the-machiner but really I'm a mediocre sell-out with as much edge as Ashley Simpson" Kinsella has memoed Canada that we need more smart female bloggers...
Sorry, sisters, instead of compiling lists of women bloggers, I have new insight into what it takes to be 'smart' in this big ol' blogosphere. So, I have set a new course: pulling 'top ten lists' like dead rabbits out of a hat, falling back on degrading others (hey, it's attention grabbing), and...well, I'm thinking of becoming one of those big L liberals cuz once you're in with the preppy kids...
So, here it goes...

Crap, I had an actual list, but I am chickening out...sometimes the ends don't justify the means. Maybe, it will go into underground circulation...
But, truly, Kinsella positioning himself to judge the smarts of
women bloggers is as offensive as me judging the sex appeal of male
bloggers.
Perhaps, even more offensive is that Kinsella now claims to have sparked a "good discussion" on the relatively small presence of women bloggers. What discussion?
Come on, smarty pants, any theories?
While I think the low participation rates of women in blogging is a relevant topic for discussion (and, yes, I have my own theories on that one), I think a second point for consideration is that many exceptional male bloggers get overlooked in all this blogosphere back-patting because they hold less mainstream views.
